She then collaborated with troupes of well-known protagonists and distinguished herself in prose and review. She began her film career with the film They Hide the Sun from Us (1963) and 1968 was a turning point for her career, as she became better known when she played in the film An Italian from the Beehive. Throughout her career, she took part in more than 50 films, dramas, comedies and adventures. She was honored with the State Award for Best Actress in 1990 for her performance in the film Bye-Bye by G. Tsemberopoulos, while she had also played in several television series. She was the wife of the well-known actor Theodoros Katsadramis. Katie Papanika was a teacher at the Antonis Andriopoulos School of Acting.
